La Petite Maison's Cocktail – A Recipe

We present an easy version of a drink from a new menu. Designed as a large-volume prepared mix that is bursting with the tastes of the festive period, which makes it ideal for hosting a festive gathering. Save the extra citrus syrup for breakfast cocktails, desserts, or to make more rounds of bikinis.

The Bikini Cocktail

Yields 10 guests

Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

To make the Cocktail (produces 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Directions

To prepare the Syrup: Place all the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a light boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool completely. Decant into a sterilised bottle, cap it keeping it chilled, it can be stored for around four weeks.

For the Batch Mix: Mix the specified liquids into a large bottle, let it rest for an hour, then strain preferably using muslin, making it completely strained.

For serving: Measure 85ml of the batch mix into your cocktail shaker containing ice, gently stirring carefully for about 60 seconds to chill. Strain into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with some cranberries and complete it using a light spray of the essential oil over the drink.
