19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has had a difficult season, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Now training with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his initial championship following the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
Success also indicates he has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
He fought back from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the second set before Moutet, striving for his first professional championship, gained dominance to force a third set.
Moutet rescued four early opportunities in a close final set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured the title with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
